About the event
Blended Intermediate/Standard First Aid
Intermediate First Aid — formerly and still commonly known as Standard First Aid — is the comprehensive workplace first aid credential recognized across Canada. This blended offering combines self-paced online learning with a hands-on, in-person skills day, giving participants the flexibility to complete the theory on their own schedule and reserve classroom time for practice with an instructor.
Course content meets CSA Standard Z1210 for Intermediate first aid and satisfies the legislative requirements of the authority having jurisdiction over workplace first aid training. In Ontario, that means it fulfills WSIB Regulation 1101 requirements for designated workplace first aiders.
Format and Duration
Approximately 8 hours of online learning, completed before the session, plus 7.5 hours in class for skills practice and evaluation. The online portion must be finished in advance; participants who arrive without it cannot be certified. No prerequisites are required.
